It’s pretty simple, and to make it way easy to find what you’re looking for we have separated all the futures contracts via product grouping. For example if you’re looking for Gold, then choose Metals, or for coffee, you would select Softs.
- First, select the product group then select the exchange. Lastly, click View Contract Specs. I.e. Product Group – Agricultural, Exchange - CBOT
- If you would like to see everything we offer for trading, and then just click View Contract Specs. The system is set to default to everything.
- Now that you have selected your product group & exchange you can begin deciphering the specific pieces of information. Under the 'Contract Symbols' Tab you will find multiple codes under the columns labeled; TT, Electronic, Pit, & Alaron Charts. These codes are specific to each product depending on which platform you would like to execute or get a quote through.
- So, the symbol for electronic May '08 Corn is ZCK8. For Pit-based the symbol code would CK8
- The month codes are listed at the top of the page in case you are not sure what the appropriate letter should be
- If you click the 'Margins & Specifications' Tab, you will get exactly that. Margins per contract, which are labeled IM for initial margin, MM for maintenance margin, and SM for spread margin. Then, for the contract specification portion we have listed tick value based on the minimum movement, or fluctuation, per contract, as well as columns for contract size and expiration months.
- IM = Initial Margin
- MM = Maintenance Margin
